Power Systems Engineer
- Responsible to P&B Technical Services
- Based in Manchester.
- Full time role 37.5hrs per week
- Salary: Negotiable (dependant. on exp.)
The role would be suitable for someone wishing to ultilise and expand their skills in the field of power systems. The role will primarily involve computer modelling to create and analyse electrical system models to determine system responses and behaviour. Including:
Static Load Flow Analysis, Fault Level Calculations, Protection Co-ordination, Transient and Harmonic Analysis.
The candidate will be expected to contribute by direct involvment and supplement the resources of the exisiting team. You will be required to liaise and to interact with clients and to develop the scope and exposure of the technical service division.
The candidate should be minimum degree level qualified in an electrical or relevant subject, Previous experience of modelling LV and MV systems using ETAP/EDSA/IPSA would a distinct advantage.
We require a good communicator who can work independantly and as part of a team.
Development Engineer
- P&B Protection Relays
- Based in Manchester
- Full time position 37.5hrs per week
- Salary: Negotiable (dependant. on exp.)
The candidate will be expected to contribute by their involvement in the full lifecycle development of industrial products based upon embedded microcontroller and DSP platforms.
This position would ideally suit a graduate wishing to move to the next step and expand their skills and experience in the domain of embedded software development.
Required Candidate Skills:
- Degree in Electronic Engineering/Computer Science (or similar) with a good understanding of embedded software systems including both analogue and digital.
- Highly proficient in C/C++ and Assembly programming languages
- Experience developing real time operating system environments (RTOS)
Preferred Candidate Skills:
- Knowledge of ARM9 and DSP architectures
- Experience of embedded Linux
- Knowledge/experience of industrial communication protocols (MODBUS, IEC 61850)
- Project Management
